After a long three-hour session, which compromised of two hour training followed by the grading. Karine demonstrated high-grade techniques, followed by combinations, pair techniques, kumite and finally five different katas. Karine choose Jion as her favourite kata and had to break it down into sections and explain the bunkai (application) behind the moves.

She passed with flying colours, an excellent San Dan, well done.
